New rules on MOT testing for light vehicles

Due to the unfolding COVID-19 situation, cars and vans and motorcycles due their MOT from 30 March 2020 will have their MOT extended by 6 months.

This will continue until confirmed otherwise. This will allow vehicle owners to continue to be able to get to work where this absolutely cannot be done from home or do essential shopping.

Vehicles must be kept in a roadworthy condition and drivers can be prosecuted if they drive an unsafe vehicle.

I bought a used car last week from Hunters and felt the service and staff were amazing. I had been trailing around looking for cars all day and ended up googling and seeing one i liked on the website. Each member of staff we spoke to were friendly and coudln't do enough for us. I decided quite quickly that i wanted to purchase the car and the process was made quick easy and painless for me. John and the lady that delt with the sale ( didn't catch her name) were so lovely and made me feel at ease through a stressful time. I will definetely be choosing Hunters over any other garages after this lovely experience. my experience was topped off by being seen off by the office dog :)

Recently moved to the area and I needed to find a garage for some work to be carried on my car and for an MOT test. Called round the local garages and Hunters were the only garage that got back to me with an honest up front quote for the work. Communication from staff was excellent. They were also friendly and helpful when I had a few questions. Couldn't recommend them highly enough. Now I know theres a garage in the West Lothian area that I can rely on I won't be going anywhere else.

Can't fault them. I arrived at their door at 8am with a broken exhaust on a Toyota Yaris. Hunters were able to get me up and running the same morning with a new part fitted. Parts and labour costs seem reasonable for the work done.

Great local garage with excellent customer service. Have been using them for several years and they always produce good results. I appreciate their honesty and willingness to do that little bit extra for me as a customer. They have a good track record as I have never experienced any faults after each service. I phoned to arrange to put my car in for some repairs and they couldn't have been more accomodating to help fit in around me. I was phoned within a few hours and given a detailed explanation of the work that was required and that they have it done that day. When I collected it the process was effect and the staff very courteous and friendly. They even put me as Miss which was great as so many people assume that I'm a Mrs. Excellent, expedient service. Would highly recommend.
